Provide all individuals and organisations that hold business with InterPharma Pty Ltd (hereinafter referred to as ‘InterPharma’) with a framework of compliance with the obligations set out under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) (the Act). This policy provides a general overview of modern slavery and its risks, and how InterPharma ensures they are identified, monitored, and adequately managed to acceptable levels within its Supply Chains and Operations.

1. Introduction

InterPharma supports the protection of human rights and is committed to implementing practices that combat modern slavery in its operations and supply chains. InterPharma recognises the complexities of modern slavery and the many forms it presents, including human trafficking, slavery, servitude and forced labour, and takes a zero-tolerance approach to such practices.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all individuals working for and on behalf of InterPharma, in any capacity, including all employees (on leave, casual and contractors), directors, officers, agency workers, consultants, interns and any other third-party representative. It also includes business partners and suppliers.

InterPharma will only perform business with organisations and individuals who fully comply with this policy, or those who are taking the necessary steps towards compliance.

3. Definition of Modern Slavery

Modern slavery refers to situations where individuals are exploited and unable to leave due to threats, violence, or deception. It includes practices such as forced labour, human trafficking, child labour, and debt bondage.

4. Responsibilities

  • Management: Responsible for implementing and enforcing this policy.
  • Employees: Required to report any concerns or suspected incidents of modern slavery.
  • Suppliers & Partners: Must adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct, which incorporates our anti-slavery commitments.

5. Review and Reporting Concerns

This policy will be periodically reviewed by InterPharma to ensure that it is kept up to date with local laws and regulations and amended or replaced when required.
